Todd Wurschmidt: Charitable Fundraising

Todd Wurschmidt is an experienced and accomplished charitable fundraiser. He has been involved in numerous fundraising campaigns, for which he has successfully secured funding in the millions of dollars. He has engaged countless business leaders, including CEOs of Fortune 500 Companies, in the philanthropic mission. Todd Wurschmidt shared his knowledge and insights as the primary author of the chapter “Fundraising,” written for the 2014 reprint of the American Society of Association Executive’s Professional Practices in Association Management, the primer text for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) exam. Todd Wurschmidt is a Certified Fundraising Executive, and a member of the Association of Fundraising Executives, Washington, DC.

With Transition Management Consulting, Todd Wurschmidt worked with organizations in transition, including working with the United Soybean Board.

Todd Wurschmidt belongs to many professional organizations. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Todd Wurschmidt received his education at The Ohio State University. He has been associated with Ohio State for many years, as both a student and an educator. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from OSU in the Biological Sciences. He later earned a Master of Science in the Social Sciences, and received his Doctorate of Philosophy, also from The Ohio State University. Following earning his Ph.D. Todd Wurschmidt served as an OSU Adjunct Assistant Professor, where he designed and taught a graduate level course called Leadership for Non-Profit Associations.

Todd Wurschmidt was honored with OSU College’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
